LAST day of '06!

So pretty much our party is over, the weather didn't work with us, so everyone left really early... I guess it was pretty nasty out, so they had to take it slow going home. We didn't get to play a lot of games like I really wanted to, but I guess that's the breaks!
Our youth group had a party, but I wasn't able to go - that's fine I guess, there will be other times I'm sure!! I have a few minutes til the ball drops considering the time difference, but then I think I'm going to wait until Mid-Night comes in, and then go to bed, it's kind of a boring night now that everyone is gone!! I have to hurry if I want to watch it though, bye!!

A few more days of 2006!

2006 is almost over!! I can't believe how fast it has gone!! We aren't doing too much during the break, getting appointment done so that no one has to miss anything. It's just kind of weird not having a lot to do.
We're getting ready for our New Year's Eve Party, there is supposed to be a storm, so I hope that doesn't ruin everything!! It's going to be small with just family as all our friends are having their own parties!! Oh well, as long as we get to do games like we usually do! I hope we have fun but I think we will! :)

Christmas over - Sales on!

That sounds about right, Christmas is over, and the Sales are on! Everyone races to the stores to see what kind of deals they can get! I didn't go anywhere this morning, and I doubt I will tonight either!
I had a great Christmas and hope that you did too! We went to Unaccompanied Minors last night! It was a really cute movie, my grandma really liked it too. She was impressed that there was actually a pretty clean movie that came out! If you haven't seen it, you should sometime!
Anyway, in some ways I'm relieved that it's over, just because so many people take it out of context!! But yet the break is nice, and being with family is too! Hope you enjoy the rest of your break!!

Christmas Eve is tomorrow!

Hello! So tomorrow is Christmas Eve!! I'm excited, tomorrow is when we celebrate Christmas... we go to my dad's family for Christmas day. This is always a cool time to remember Christ's birth! Also, for the first time in TWELVE YEARS - we are having a family Christmas... I'm in shock. It's really cool though, because this year, the boys are able to be with their family, so it's nice for all of us! Then when they come back, they can open their presents from us! I probably won't be able to blog for a few days as it will be late nights and busy days! So until then - MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Time Flies!

Wow, sorry it's been a few days. Things are really busy! I'm sure everyone can agree with me on that one, right? :)
Today is Wednesday, meaning youth group again! We are having a Christmas Party tonight!! I can't wait, our new Youth Pastor is so much fun! He's only been with us since the end of October, so it's been fun getting to know him and his family!
Tomorrow the boys get out at 1pm again, and then are out until the New Year!! YIKES! I'm sure we'll manage. It's getting closer to Christmas, I'm excited! I better get off for now, bye!

Sad Saturday

So today was Irma's funeral, it was really nice, and we were able to laugh at some spots and cry at others! But we were able to smile knowing that she's in a better place and not in pain anymore.
After the funeral, our youth group has "adopted" a street; meaning that we have to pick up the garbage a couple of times a year. It was fun, although it usually is when we're with the guys... we found a microwave, a knife (in pretty good condition, too!) and then the usual McDonald's garbage that is everywhere! I can't believe this is December, usually there is snow everywhere, I mean, really, this is Iowa! But it was a very nice day out. :0)

First Blog!

Hey, so welcome to my blog! I'm so excited to get going on this. This is my first blog besides being on MSN or anything like that.
Yesterday I found out that my piano teacher died, and her funeral is this Saturday. It's really sad that she's gone because she was so awesome, but she's in a much better place with the Lord now and I can't be sad about that, I know I'll see her again someday!!
Tonight we have youth group, and I'm excited as usual, I love going to church on Wednesdays! My foster brothers get out of school at 1pm today, so I guess I should get some stuff done here.
